Denuclearization of North Korea

“China’s top nuclear experts have increased their estimates of North Korea’s nuclear weapons production well beyond most previous figures, suggesting Pyongyang can make enough warheads to threaten regional security for the U.S. and its allies.

The latest Chinese estimates showed that North Korea may already have 20 warheads, as well as the capability of producing enough weapons-grade uranium to double its arsenal by next year“

“The U.S. and South Korea on Wednesday signed a new nuclear-energy cooperation pact that approves Seoul’s nuclear research (Nuclear Engineering) but doesn’t allow the Asian nation to produce its own fuel.

During nearly five years of negotiations, South Korea has been pushing for U.S. approval to make its own fuel for its fleet of 23 nuclear reactors.”

“Nonprofit group’s ‘hackathon’ invites U.S. programmers to create apps for the isolated island.

Code for Cuba “hackathon,” organized by Miami-based nonprofit group Roots of Hope, aims to attract U.S. engineers, software developers and entrepreneurs to work.

“Our goal is to empower Cuban people as the conversation on technology there is more open now”. The idea is to create programs that can be applied in Cuba immediately.

Cuban law, which forbids satellite connection and restricts private imports of goods like wireless routers.”

জুলাই ১, ২০১৫ -তে ইরানের সাথে চূড়ান্ত চুক্তি (Nuclear Deal) হবে।

একদিকে P5 + 1 (United States, Britain, France, Russia, China, Germany) আর অন্যদিকে Iran – দুই পক্ষ-ই নিজ নিজ ক্ষেত্রে ছাড় দিয়ে Nuclear Deal করতে সম্মত হয়েছে আমার উপর আস্থা রেখে।

আমি না থাকলে – দুই পক্ষের কেউ-ই এতটা ছাড় দিতে রাজি হত না।

In the 1990s the PLA dived into commerce. The army set up 20,000-30,000 business across China. Many became the seeds of rampant corruption.

Corruption is worst in departments dealing with logistics, weapons procurement and political matters.

President Xi Jinping’s military clout gives him a greater chance of success than his predecessors in curbing graft in the PLA.”

“South Korean President Park Geun-hye on Monday proposed a symbolic reunion of families separated by war next month as she sought a breakthrough in relations with North Korea.

Ms. Park also said she would be willing to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “without preconditions,” though she added that the Pyongyang regime must attend with “an open mind.”

She said civilian humanitarian aid and exchanges, such as family reunions, could be a starting point for an inter-Korean rapprochement and urged Pyongyang to respond to her offer.

.. 1950-53 Korean War. Official data say about 70,000 South Koreans, mostly in their 80s or older, are waiting their turn to be briefly reunited with relatives living across the border in the north.

Ms. Park added that she aims to improve ties with China, Japan and Russia while maintaining Seoul’s alliance with Washington, its main military ally, to achieve denuclearization of North Korea.”

Chinese-funded infrastructure projects

China began construction of a $1.5 billion “port city” including malls, hotels and marinas, part of a constellation of Chinese investments that represent an estimated $4 billion in loans.

Last month, Ranil Wickremesinghe, who was sworn in as prime minister on Friday, said he would cancel the planned $1.5 billion port city, and Harsha de Silva, economic affairs spokesman for the opposition United National Party, said the new government planned to review all major infrastructure projects for “irregularities.”

As the West drew back, China, stepped in, both rich and easygoing on human rights.

Sri Lanka is a linchpin in one of Mr. Xi’s key foreign policy projects, a maritime trade route intended to connect China and Europe, known as the “Silk Road.” The plan, backed by a $40 billion fund, is viewed nervously by India as an encircling strategy that could undermine its own dominance in the region and conceivably culminate in the construction of Chinese military facilities.

“North Korean leader offers olive branch in New Year address devoid of threats or bombast

North Korea’s leader sent a rare conciliatory signal on Thursday, offering “highest-level talks” with his counterparts in the South.

Kim Jong-un delivered a televised New Year message notably devoid of threats and bombast.

In the past, North Korea has promised variously to turn Seoul into a “sea of fire”, destroy its neighbour with “merciless strikes” and launch nuclear weapons at America. Last month, North Korea compared President Barack Obama to a “monkey” and threatened to attack the White House, the Pentagon and the entire “cesspool of terrorism” known as the “US mainland”.

But Mr Kim, who tested a nuclear weapon in 2013, dropped the rhetoric and proffered an olive branch during his latest public appearance. He promised to “make every effort to advance dialogue and negotiations”, adding that the “tragic” division of the Korean peninsula should be healed.”

Confidence among Bangladeshi youth has skyrocketed during the past year or so.

10s of millions of youth voters will vote for my political party in the next general elections to be held in Bangladesh.



The same process has begun in America. In a very short time, this trend will spread – American Youth would feel “empowered” through me.
